Need a quick and easy whole-group fact fluency practice idea? Check out these digital flash cards! These digital flash cards do not require printing, laminating, or cutting. They are a paperless, no prep resource that helps build and practice math fact fluency.
I love having these digital flash cards! They are perfect when you have a little extra time and need a quick activity for your students. They also make for a great student-led activity. Whenever I need to talk with another teacher or get something done real quick I have my students work on these flash cards during that time. I just pick a student helper to click through the slides as the class answers each math fact.
You can also use these digital flash cards many other ways in your classroom. You can use them during your math lesson, as whole group practice, at a math center, during computer lab time, as an intervention, etc.
Here is what the slides look like:
Each math problem is written vertically and horizontally.
Simply open the flash card file up in PowerPoint. Display them on your Smartboard for a great whole-group activity.
Move the slides around in PowerPoint to"shuffle" the flash cards so they are in a different order each time.
Press "ENTER" or click the mouse to display the flash card, then press "ENTER" or click the mouse again to have the answer appear.
The answers appear in red so the students can easily check their answers.
There is even a set that has number dots on each number.
