Whether you are a new teacher or a veteran teacher, thinking of all the procedures and routines you need to teach to your students at the beginning of each school year can be daunting!
There are so many procedures and routines that need to be established at the beginning of each school year that forgetting ones to teach can be easy.
That's when I decided to put all those back to school procedures and routines down on paper in a checklist type form that can easily be printed and reused year after year.
There ended up being over 250 procedures that I listed! The procedures are categorized and broken down into different topics. This makes things so much easier when teaching the topics.
Never worry about forgetting to teach something when you have this checklist to refer to. Just check each procedure off as you cover it during back to school time.
There are so many topics that have to be discussed that you can't even begin to cover them all the first day of school. Easily break the procedures up into days you want to teach them in by color coding them with a highlighter.
Example: Topics highlighted in purple will be taught the first day of school. Topics color coded in blue will be taught the second day of school, etc.
Have additional procedures you want to cover but they aren't listed on the checklist? Simply write in any additional topics to cover on the blank lines provided.
